The USAID Europe and Eurasia Bureau’s Economic Growth Office (EE/EG) is pleased to announce the dates for the
“Europe & Eurasia Bureau - 5th Annual Regional Event - Competitiveness, Finance and Economic Growth", which will take place at the
Europa Hotel, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, May 18 - 20, 2010 .
The EE/EG Regional Competitiveness Initiative (RCI) invites regional stakeholders from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus to share best practices, success stories and future opportunities for cooperation. Featuring local, international experts and USAID projects, practical experiences from the regions and lessons learned will be shared.
The first day will focus on the topics such as “Coming of Global Economic/Financial Crisis”, “Access to Finance: FDI and EU Funding”, “Leveraging Donor Resources” and USAID future strategic goals in the E&E region.
The second day will be dedicated to a Sector focus. Parallel Round Table discussion on the sectors of Information Technologies (IT), Tourism and Agribusiness will be organized.
The third day will be introducing the new Partnership for Financial Stability (PFS) activity.
This event is focused on practical examples and solutions and we believe it will be particularly valuable for USAID personnel and projects working in economic growth and business development.
